^Goodness... The Gleacher Center needs to GO!

It'll be interesting to see what's proposed for the lot behind Tribune. That and the lot south of NBC is just calling for something of at least 1,000'.

I think it has been mentioned before but those three lots are owned by the same owner as NBC tower and he is a very patient long term holder. So, I don't expect anything until ownership changes.

Who owns the lot on Fairbanks between Whole Foods and the Jahn? That's the only other empty lot I can think of in the immediate area besides Tribune at this point, so the time for NBC Tower's lots to sell might be sooner than we think...

^^^Thats the lot where Loews is now. Go up to the 24th floor of NBC if you want to see the model of the twin towers Mr. Mann wants to build on the north and south site's of NBC.

There was supposed to be a building built there that got to site prep in 2008-2009, but halted due to the great recession. It was most crushing because there was a great little hot dog stand on that site that was bulldozed for the prep, so in the end we got no new building and one less hot dog stand.

Formwork is being removed. The core appears to be topped out.

I hope they end up with the red glass wrapping around the top of the core/roof lounge like in the original drawings.

I was pretty shocked when they started installing the red glass on the base. I thought it looked cheesy in the renderings and was confident they'd VE it out. But seeing it in pictures it's so daring and unique and badass. I don't see why they wouldn't go through with the original plan now. Fingers crossed.

"Which one do you live in ?"...

"The one wearing a red hat."
