Since I'm already talking crazy, why couldn't they remove 7 stories from one building and add them to the other? Then you'd have one 20 storey and one 34 storey. Same number of total floors, same number of units. Same load on the infrastructure. BUT a much needed break from the god awful 27 storey wall of monotony. Do I have to think of everything?

I was thinking the EXACT same thing when I looked at the render again... We will have 7 towers next to each other ALL the same height (2 pheonix, 4 clardige plaza's and the Quality Inn just on the other side)...
A 20 story tower next to the street and a 34 story tower behind it would be great for several reason:
1) Breaks the 27 story ceiling and brings variety to the skyline
2) Doesn't feel as much of a "wall" or canyon effect.. More like good urban planning with a "cascading" effect with height trickling down as you get closer to the street
3) The top 14 floors of the second tower would have views and wouldn't be blocked by the first tower next to the street! That means more desirable units and better chance of sales/profit for the developer, no?
All in all I think it would make A LOT of sense... Now, how can we make the city and planning committee realise this? Good urban planning needs to start NOW!
