The residents of Falkner are very proud to say that they have finally completed their first skyscraper. The apartment building, Newtown Apartments, is just under 90m tall and is by far the tallest building in Falkner.

Just some more pictures of what's been happening recently in Falkner.
Firstly, a parallel view of the city:

An outdated sign that can be seen just after leaving the Marina. The town of Falkner currently has 360 residents.

With no current schools, the residents of Falkner demanded a library, and the Mayor happily obliged. Seen in the background is a set of new stores, also recently completed.

Present in these stores are a smale hardware store, a hairdressing salon, surf shop, family owned fruit and veg store, video rental, pharmacy, fish and chips store, $2 shop, Domino's Pizza, OPSM optometrists, book store, and a pet store.

currently set for the town's future is a primary school, the FBC building (whose plans keep getting knocked back because of a delay with the building materials and trouble with the suppliers), and a man-made beach is set to be created close to the lighthouse.

The Falkner Primary has been completed next to the town hall and library. This district is to remain as just bricked walkways and without roads making it a quiet place to study, think, or just get away from the noises of the worls. The school consists of ten classrooms, an undercovered area for eating lunch, an office, a hall, a basketball court, and an oval.

Pictured below is a view of the undercovered area from the basketball court, with the Duck Enterprises building, library, and shopping village in the background.

Just a quick photograph of the town i whipped up in paint.

a water tank the town built out the front of the lighthouse

FBC was finally given the green light to build their multi storey building next door to Duck Enterprises. This is what they built:

The view down one of the newly laid streets. Pictured are the FBC headquarters, The DE building, the corner of the shopping village, and the newly constructed Grand Cinema.

Finally, an aerial view of the town

Nice job, I like it so far. Maybe you can add more details to the buildings and you should make the roads to ashpalt since the tallest buuilding's parking lot is ashpalt.

Thanks.

Although, more details to the buildings.... not likely XD This map already has a 16MB filesize, takes half a minute to open, just as long to save, and is a killer to navigate around. Much more detail than what it already has... that'll be technological suicide!!

With the roads, if you look in the last few images, i actually already have began to convert the roads to asphalt. The brown bricked roads between the church and school, and down to the lighthouse are to remain as is, and will be a car free zone for people to casually stroll through without the noise of passing cars. I do, however, need to convert the road between the marina and the Newtown Appartments building (the tallest building) to asphalt.

The newly constructed Vista Apartments, located next door to the Newtown Apartments building, this complex offers 60 pristine apartments to the town.

The inclusion of this added housing has brought the population of Falkner up to 540, an increase of 180.

Nice to see this one continued! Good detail. Where do the new residents of Falkner all come from?

Well, because this city is located on another planet (maybe I shouldn't have made it on another planet), all of the residents have moved from Earth. They travel by one of three plus-sized space shuttles (similar is size to a medium sized cruise ship). The journey takes approximatly a week, and they land at a city called Suntown which is located on a larger island to the west of Falkner Island.
Most of the residents choose to stay in Suntown due to it's much larger size and facitlities. However, a small portion move by way of cruise ship, to Falkner, and these become the new residents.
Good enough explanation??
