Great shots Freki, thanks very much for posting them. I like the modern architecture in Copenhagen a lot. To my shame, I have never even been to Denmark.

Thanks guys - I'm glad you like it and will love to answer any questions anyone might have

Also thanks for the feedback everyone - it's nice to know that ones work is apreciated

And remember that I gladly acccept requests, just note that my selection is rather limited and mainly forcussed around the inner city districts - especially downtown..

Today a visit to one of the canals in the Old Town - as can be seen the tourist boats don't have much room to turn

A photo from last night at Nørrebro or Rådhuspladsen would be an interesting contrast to those sunny pics of picturesque and calm streets!

I had just seen news on TV from the demonstration. With all the activists, police and the grey weather it was a striking contrast to the nice photos in this thread.

Bergenser,
Haha, very far from it. I usually ask myself - is there ever any sun in CPH (\Malmo)?

Oh those guys - well if you ask me they get way to much attention already - as for the grey skies, it's not that I mind pics with it, but I prefere sunny pics..

That ofcause does not mean ( should anyone be in doubt ) that we don't get bad weather here - we most certainly do

This is not all bad though - I f.ex haven't washed my car yet this winter - nature does it for me

Today a small flower market in the Old Town

By request we'll take a look at the more suburban side of the city

Copenhagen metro is devided pretty equally between urban and suburban living with roughly 1 million living in urban areas and 1 million living in sprawly suburbia

This picture is from the outskirts of the district Frederiksberg

Today a visit to Copenhagen Business School located in Frederiksberg

This is one of it's many buildings - the school has more than 14.000 students

only 2 milllion in Copenhagen?? It looks bigger than that. Europe density is so deceiving.

^^
It's rather the opposite in my opinion - almost empty small North American downtowns imply very small cities, but could in fact be centers of a huge metropolitan area such as Dallas.
Most cities in this world with populations over 500.000 have large, dense and active downtowns!

By the way, Copenhagen is the center of a 3,6 million metropolitan region.
