I'll take four exciting games over seven boring ones.

Assuming the Flyers win Game 4...

It would be the best sweep post-lockout (probably ever lol) by far.

However, 4 crazy games is not equal to 7 intense hockey games that go the limit.

Give me 7 great games over 4 crazy (and sometimes one-sided) games any day.

This was entertainment on a scale I haven't seen since I dont know when.

Some pizza and wings + Crazy fights and untimely aggression! YES. Kinda reminds me and my recreational/Professional Ball Hockey career lol.

So... Florida wins and the fans thing apparently from 1996 is to throw plastic rats on the ice. It seemed to confuse some players lol

Man, how long have they been keeping those in their closets.

Apparently it's because their old arena had rat issues? I think a real one made itself known during the '96 run, so it's a thing now.

I love watching the Florida games and seeing a thousand arms fly into the air every time a Panther gets hit/falls on his own.

Oh well, it's just good to see people at the games.

Wow is the ice ever bad in LA. This might be a case where the ice gets better as the game goes along, can't see how it can get much worse.

HNIC has lost almost all of it's credibility with me.

Jim Hughson (sp?) is such an incredible homer that it's obscene. The hit on Sedin by Brown "the puck was long gone". No it wasn't! Kesler dives after being cross-checked by Williams "it's a good play to draw a penalty".

And now questioning why Lapierre got a penatly for trying to take out buddy's knees.

I don't care if he cheers for Vancouver. That's fine. But how about making an effort to appear impartial.

One more reason for me to cheer for LA so that this moron goes home disappointed.

Beautiful hit by Dustin Brown on Henrika!!! Kesler's the biggest goof in the NHL. 360 flop into the boards and ice after he barely got touched.
Hope he gets Brown'd too!!!! Rumor has it Daniela is postponing her return due to fear of playoff hockey.

Could be the puck was milli seconds gone....but this is hockey. Finish the check. To many weak analysts and non athlete's that want to call the game IMO.

Well, Jim Hughson says some stupid things but I don't understand the obsession with play by play broadcasters having to be impartial.

Especially when there's only one Canadian team involved in Hockey Night in Canada lol

The most shocking thing about this game so far was hearing Will Ferrell talk like a normal human being while being interviewed.

After having to stream Flames games all year, and watching the feeds of Altitude, FSN (various), etc, Hughson isn't nearly as bad as I once thought. Last month the Altitude guys went on about what they thought was a missed high-sticking call for about a period and a half. Seriously, those calls get missed quite a bit; it sucks, but get over it. That said, it does still irk me a little when Hughson does a Flames-Canucks game.

Well, I don't see a problem with that either.

As you are watching "Colorado Avalanche hockey, presented by Colorado Avalanche is Awesome, on your Colorado Avalanche's network only available in Denver"

Ouch, delay of game to Edler with 1:30 to go!

Nice win Kings!

The guy behind the Vancouver bench had an epic shirt one.

Hughson is the worst. What a bad homer.

It wouldn't matter, but this is supposed to be a national broadcast. You should be objective. It's as if Jack Edwards was doing the American national broadcasts... His whining at the end of the game about the deflection into the stands and the "icing" with 0.4 seconds left was so hilariously awful. I love the sound of absolute pain he exudes when the Canucks lose.

Also that Brown hit on Sedin was 100% clean. Of course fake tough guy Bieksa jumps him from behind too.

Holy fuck, what a great day of hockey. Pens and Canucks, both down 3-0. It doesn't get any better than this, ever. So much for the regular season meaning diddly squat. And wow, Crosby is back to his rookie bitch years. I don't think he's back from concussion symptoms quite yet.

And Cole is MUCH worse homer than Hughson ever has been. Shit, during the Rangers/Sens series, his loathing of any Canadian team that's not the Habs or Leafs is very evident. At least Hughson isn't quite the douche when he doesn't have a stake in the game.

I understand your comparison but absolutely nobody will ever reach Edwards' level... not even close.

Can't get much worse than asking for player's heads on TV.

Speaking of homers, I missed the bulk of the Philly/Pittsburgh game on TV. Listened to the last 5 minutes (which was like 30+ minutes of actual time) on XM, which had the local Philly radio broadcasters. Holy shit, I've never heard anything like it. Nicko's comment reminded me of it - the one guy went on about Crosby for a solid 10 minutes, completely ignoring what was going on. It was hilarious.

Oh, and I have to add a coupla things I noticed in the stands from the Kings/Canucks game tonight:

"2 Sedins, No Cup" t-shirt, right behind the Canucks bench. Classic.

"LA Kings are Canada's team" sign.

And this gem from tsn.ca:

Quote:
Fun little fact....since they went up 2-0 and started planning the parade in Vancouver in last years finals the Nucks have gone 1-7 in playoff hockey.
