Society Hill is a very quaint and beautiful neighbourhood. I like its classic houses and those entrances and doors. Bartram´s Garden is very nice too. Wonderful colours. It´s a very pretty garden, yes.
Thanks for the open window on Bartram's garden, definitely a must see when I visit Philly.
Love the georgian architecture in the Society Hill section. Some of the houses you show could double for a house I used to live in on Berkeley road, Dublin in the eighties. It is no longer there sadly. I think of those windows; 7 or 8 ft tall and a fireplace in each room we would heat with peat bricks or coal.
I haven't been to Bartam's Garden since the 5th grade. Time for a visit.
You won't be disappointed! We try to go out there a few times each summer. They have upgraded the parking and the trails so accessibility is incredible. I also find the crowds to be smaller than any other park along the river (except for MLK / West River on a weeknight).

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain!
Thanks Madrid seems like quite the place too. I hope to travel here someday
Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for the thread. Society Hill is definitely one of Philly's most photogenic neighborhoods. As much as I dislike the Society Hill Towers from an urban design standpoint, from afar they provide a nice contrast to the low-rise red brick nature of the rest of the neighborhood. Bartram's Garden is looking nice too. I can't wait until the Schuylkill River Trail connects all the way down there.
