pretty much this. modern Nashville may improving.
not that it's much more liberal elsewhere in the south, but having lived in rural western Louisiana, Birmingham, South Carolina, and Augusta, politically for my opinions i'd rate Tennessee as worse, with more annoying and in your face conservativism. my two cents.
crap, now i've turned this into a political discussion...sorry.
i plan on going to Chattanooga next year, and hopefully get off the beaten path in northeast TN.
