Kinda unfair that only Vancovuer and Burnaby have the trolley buses. Surrey should invest some money in those since there is a demanding ridership.

newer typical development - parking is bad - i suspect its because most of these houses have 1 or 2 suites in them and along with the owners the renters need parking too

pics by me

Neat..thanks Whalleyboy

Here are some pics of the new developments in Cloverdale Downtown:

Two mid-rise condo projects in Cloverdale’s historic downtown are nearing completion. West on the Village Walk and Clover Downs Estates are both part of a strategy to increase the number of residents within walking distance of the downtown to bring back activity to the commercial core.

A number of other lots in the downtown, including the City owned Safeway site, are up for sale. Presumably, based on the success of these two developments, we can expect to see more density coming soon to downtown Cloverdale. Keep reading for more pictures.

Arrow applause, applause!

Intriguing, historic, and fascinating sets of pictures all!! Super stuff!!

What I notice about Surrey that seems to cause it to retain its "ugliness" is the telephone poles on most of the main roads. If they could have underground wiring, and nicer finished curbs, it would make a colossal difference.

I believe they used a suspension thingy to support the bridge during construction. Once the arches were finished, the suspension system was dismantled.

This is what I meant. See how ugly the foreground is, with that tangle of telephone poles? (Thanks Whalleyboy.)

that would be the old alignment of Fraser Highway meeting King George. Pretty much that intersection is where King George Station is now. Fraser HWY used to meet KG at an angle.

The rest of the pictures - I have no clue, but if there's more - I would love to see them.
