Lol. My bad. Yeah, I meant the Wanda Vista. I was just in the WG thread, and wasn't thinking. And you're totally right. I was more just commenting on the fact that the Wanda Vista will be the second tallest from many view points. Which is exciting, and honestly I can't wait to see it driving down LSD.

Great shot!

With any luck, the development south of River City will completely block the view of that unfortunate generic low-rise building on Wells.

^^ So the river of cars looks like it's getting a showcase of architecture, just like we made for the river of water nearby. Well why not, we're Chicago.

Pretty soon BVic will start doing a few duck boat tours, and they'll be taking a spin down the Kennedy trench. (During the three hours a day it's not congested.) Anyway, this design is great.

I think it's sexy, but it could use some more height. Reminding me of Viceroy.

RE: Equinox Hotel

Hell yeah! Now that's what I'm talking about. That looks great. The height doesn't bother me at all. Every time we get something nice like this along the Kennedy, it reminds me of the proposal to cap it. Randolph street would be a good place to start, extend restaurant row eastward like a needle into the loop.

Love this design. I agree that the blank wall on the lower portions of the west facade hopefully will be covered up, perhaps by some midrises

Yeah all those 1 story buildings are gone, i assumed they were demolished for when the proposal had a larger footprint. Also I hope they improve the sidewalk situation over there, last time I was walking around there, the sidewalk right at the bridge was janky AF. On a side note, I'm hoping if this comes to fruition there will be more impetus to level that POS BOA on Washington.

^ That, and the parking lot on Adams and Walgreens on Monroe!

Yes. Actually they are set to open up one at Hudson Yards in NYC in 2018. It's part of their plan to open up 75 hotels worldwide eventually. I believe there's one on tap for LA in 2019 as well. Not sure if the one in Chicago would be their 2nd or 3rd.

I like the design too. Not bad at all.

Yes that's the endgame here, hopefully.

Equinox is interesting. But it reminds me of my furnace air filter.
