Really hope they do a complete redesign and optimization of the Brighouse station bus loop.

Here is COV's study of the area. From page 66 shows redevelopment, towers planned for the safeway site. The retail along commercial will also be rebuilt as part of the next phase expansion of the station, the third platform serving outbound trains.

Updates on Metrotown station! All photos are mine, Feb. 19 2017

Centre station house entrance

West station house

Pedestrian bridge/East station house area

The station entrances finally feel satisfactory for the amount of people that use the station.

Thanks!

Does the centre station house have escalators that go from platform all the way to ground? (or is that a staircase?)

The centre stationhouse does not have escalators - only a staircase and 2 (or 3?) elevators. There will be a total of 8 escalators between the east and west stationhouses.

I just hope that the elevators and stairs or escalators are finished and open to the public soon. Having to use temporary staircases that aren't big enough for the crowds that station sees...

From Metrotown - it was a dumbass thing to do. We're supposed to get a new one eventually but no one seems to know when.

I would be really happy if all the stakeholders can come to some agreement before 2020.
There is a possibility the new pedestrian bridge might never be built.

I know... *sigh*

Hi there, we are currently working with the city to agree upon design, construction, funding and timing for the a new walkway.
That makes it sound like Burnaby is the (main) issue - does anyone have the ear of someone who works for the city?

I've heard allegations of a new bus exchange being constructed at Richmond-Brighouse. Any documentations based on this?

I don't remember seeing any official documents... however, there is this article from the Richmond News.

http://www.richmond-news.com/opinion...-stop-1.505584

There are also a few documents on richmond's website that mention the bus loop, but they're all from 2006-2009ish. Not very relevant anymore.
