Live in Iowa.

Frequently:
Wisconsin
Illinois
Minnesota
Missouri

Yellowstone trip, 2008:
South Dakota
Wyoming
Montana
Nebraska

Trip to San Diego when I was three:
Colorado
Utah
Nevada
California
Kansas

National Geographic Bee:
Maryland
D.C.
Virginia
Michigan* (Detroit airport)

Cross the state line type trips:
Indiana
Arkansas

Other trips:
North Carolina
Arizona
New York

So that's 21 or 22 (if you count the Detroit airport) plus DC.

Sadly the site where you can create maps of counties where you've been seems to have gone off-line.

23 states. I thought that was a lot, but judging by the poll results, I guess that's pretty average.

And since some of us are counting countries... I've been to 6 (excluding my own). One day I won't be so freaking broke and I can start working on improving these numbers.
