Agreed, from a massing perspective, I will take this over twin stubs or a single Tamarack Florian monotholithic slab any time.

Windows, glazing & bricks going up on this one. We're not getting the grey/charcoal version from the render... So far it's beige and sandy brown.

I think everything lines up with the render so far...

Might be the second worse looking project after Story of Rideau.

Congrats Claridge, you're not the worse.

Oh yeah. I meant Trinity's monstrosity on Rideau is worse than this, which is also pretty bad. So Claridge ever so slightly better than Trinity.

I believe the east wall of Royale will take the ugly crown. It's absolutely enormous and will surely be covered in all kinds of wild and wacky beige brick shapes and lines to break up the charcoal.

Drove past this site last weekend at night time. The taller tower feels like it is REALLY tall when you observe it's silhouette against the light pollution, while travelling eastbound on Carling. I think that it's partially because there is nothing else tall near it, so it has that sort of tower in the park look to it. I am sure the developers/GC's will clad them in the token charcwhite like more than half the high-rises going up in this town...

So what you're saying is, Claridge will regain the crown after about 2 years.

Still not too sure what to think about this one. It doesn't look horrible or as ugly as some of the other projects around town, but it's not overall beautiful or an architectural masterpiece either.

Holding my breath for the final look.

It's not good. They could have done something far better with the podium and ground level.

I do like the vertical bands of black glass! Not a single other thing about it is defining though.

The tower crane came down this past weekend. The portable sales center located at the former Neilson dairy factory site is now open as the sales/leasing center for this project.
