I just got back from a weekend in Dallas so I guess we will see...........

In reality people in Dallas are pretty pissed off at CNN and other national news outlets for being alarmists. There was very little coverage on it down there. business as usual.

The chances of Ebola coming to canada remains low (although not impossible). A recent study that came out yesterday suggested that if 100 Ebola infected people got on a flight from those three west African countries approximately only 2 of those 100 people would end up in North America , 90% of those two people would be in the US. So Canada would get 0.2% of those 100 infected people. The study stated that three infected people would be going into other countries each month. Do the math and you'll see the chances of an Ebola infected person coming here is very low. It's good to be prepared though for what if. But don't start panicking. Canada is 10 times less likely to get an ebola infected person fly here than the US is.

In a way, the world is fortunate that West Africans travel very little.

Sort of, but if West Africans had the money to travel their medical system and sanitation system would have made the whole thing mostly a non-issue. Clean water is one of the most effective anti-disease resources a society can have.
