Okay, so I had to pick up a few mates downtown... and since the weather was awesome - as it has been for months now - I desided to walk and ofcause bring the camera...

Todays area is the Vesterport Station area... it includes several large hotels, the world's largest 3D digital IMAX dome cinema and the Palads Cinema Complex...

Let's get started shall we!

Wonderful is the least you can say about this city. It's so fantastic!

For me, the most interesting part was Søndre Frihavn, as I know the city center already. The Frihavn area reminded me a lot of Hamburg and the development in the old harbour areas there. Interesting to see how brick is widely used in the new residential buildings. Here everething has to be so white...

I really, really like the PSG Huset. It also reminds me alot of recent architecture I've seen in Hamburg. That kind of dark brick is very common there.

Lovely street scenes and a unique architectural vernacular. We don't see enough Copenhagen around here, so I'm happy that you have assembled this phototour series!

Beautiful photos! I can't wait to go back to Copenhagen - it will always be special to me as it is where I proposed to my wife (in the courtyard of the Rosenborg Slot).

Great pictures

Thanks for sharing your pictures! I was fortunate to live in CPH for two years. We left just over a year ago. Do you happen to know if the reconstruction around the Osterport S-Tog station is complete yet? I would guess not at the rate of progress they made while I lived there...

^ Drove trough it a few weeks ago ( in a train ofcause ) didn't notice anything - but ???

Are you thinking about the "road bridge" or the station itself?

( many stations are being reconstructed right now with the new LCD information screen system and a more modern "glassy" look )

Sorry for not being more specific. I was talking about the bus plaza off of Osterbrogade directly outside the primary station doors. You wouldn't notice it from the train. Anyways, no big deal. I look forward to more pictures of Wonderful Kobenhavn. Thanks again!

Time for an update...

So let's take a stroll trough the Municipal of Frederiksberg - my favorite residential district in Copenhagen...

( pics from May 3rd )

The trip starts out on Godthåbsvej takes a right on Falkoner Alle and then a left along Gammel Kongevej..

Here we go..

That's all for this time folks...

I haven't really been around those parts - thanks for the tour! Your photos confirm ones again that Copenhagen is an amazingly beautiful city. I'm going over there tomorrow btw - it's some kind of "design and architecture days" with guided tours and stuff. And then I thought I'd go shopping aswell...

^Thanks - I think I heard of that - some guided tours in the Ørestad right?

Tiny update to clean up what's left of the pics from May 3rd...

We start off just outside the Palads Cinema and moves north up to Jarmers Square on H.C. Andersen's Boulevard..
