Hi everyone,

I rode my bike over to the river on Sunday. I got some footage of the construction. You can check it out in the video... if you don't want to watch the entire video, you can use this link to watch it in another window and have it start at the right spot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCYDcdnk9PE&t=1m36s

I also filmed some other stuff too, like the boardwalk and some other projects in Fishtown. I'm gonna make a post in the city photos section. The whole video shows the river trail, but the building is at 1 min 36 seconds. I can't figure out how to get the video to start at that spot.. not sure if it is supported.. The whole video is only ~3mins long

Video Link

p.s. i would love to hear what you think of the video format. for me, it is a lot easier just to film, as i make a lot of family videos. if you guys like seeing little clips like this, i can keep sharing them here. i plan on going back every other week or so as the weather is warming up.

Awesome collection of photos! God, that view of the skyline(s!) with the river and boardwalk is going to be some postcard material. A great view getting better.

Here's my own meager shot, from 22nd & Market last night.

Evo, FMC and Cira are going to look amazing together. I hope it doesn't stop there, the potential collection of skyscrapers west of the river is setting up to be amazing. I hope the rest of the Cira collection can come to fruition.

Awesome pictures everyone, The facade on this is real nice.

Yeah, what's up with that? I don't remember ever seeing that part of the Schuylkill River so brown before.

I think the picture was taken the day after a heavy rainfall. It's not normally THAT brown.

Has anyone noticed the Grove coming into the city on Lancaster? I don't know if it was intentionally designed this way, but it is absolutely stunning, perfectly framed in the middle of the avenue.

Took some new shots on my bloggy blog today. Its amazing how quickly the skin is going up. Starting to look really nice. I imagine the work at the top of the building is quite complex with the large roofdeck pool. I'd love to know about the engineering on that job.

I'm thinking at this rate, the glass will be to the top by July....

Are they working 24hours?

It's funny, but over the weeks and months that you guys have been posting these terrific photos, I've been thinking: man, it's taking them a long time to get that glass up. Then I just realized, looking at this latest photo taken by Lincolndrive and posted by summers, there are actually hundreds of small sections of glass that have to be assembled into a kind of giant abstract jigsaw puzzle on that building. It's really quite a complex skin! And a puzzle that's fun to watch them put together.

From what I have heard the glass manufacturing was delayed substantially, which is why many of the floors were wrapped in Tyvek during the winter months. This put the building behind schedule and, naturally, caused budgetary issues (probably minor, but it cost someone money).
I do know that some of the the glaziers are working overtime. The glass is certainly going up fast!

Well, these two photos from this thread show the progress over the past month, so I guess the pace of glass installation has picked up:

At this rate, it looks like they should be pretty much done installing the bulk of the glass in another 1-2 months.
