Yea, regarding the World Trade Cener Towers, I've been up the express elevator to the top floor and that sucker halls! Sad I'll never be able to return to that as I've always wanted to take my wife there.

elevators

When the BurjDubai is finished will there be a scenic elevator to the top? That would be unbelievable!

How about for the Bow Tower in Calgary when it's done (810 ft)?

The elevator rides up Chicago's tallest buildings are rather ordinary as they are internal elevators. In the Hancock its just a ride up with a recording saying how fast the elevators are and talking about the observatory/restaurant/lounge. In the Sears Tower its also pretty ordinary with just the numbers going up and a tv screen with a touristy video showing some birds talking about the tower on the way up and down.

There arent any tall buildings of significant height with scenic elevators in Chicago, the closest thing I can think of is an Embassy Suites Hotel and the Thompson Center.

Just watching the CN Tower footage and the nicey nice guy talking - I remember in the lifts up from the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower to the top, the lift operator just stood in one corner reading a newspaper, pressing buttons and looking completely unattached from the job.
