Lots of friends and relatives in New Brunswick pissed about major cuts to hospitals including emergency room closures. Maybe they should block some rail lines and see what happens?

I think it augurs poorly for the future of the FNs if you/they can't even manage to not alienate "progressive" Canadians like Acajack.

Someone else pointed out on this forum not long ago that as immigration continues, sympathy for FNs can only go down. And I'd tend to agree - it seems perfectly plausible to me that hardworking Neo-Canadians from China/India would generally opine "Why the F should these people be allowed to mooch my hard-earned tax dollars just because they're brown-skinned and were here earlier than me?"

So it's possible, even likely, that the window for whatever "reconciliation" is supposed to be is slowly closing.

The OP's "face value" IMO includes that the reason for buying a car would be to have a reliable mode of intercity transportation seeing how just anyone can paralyze a railway anytime in this country for any reason. It's not even reading between the lines.
