Walking across New York City

I already made a thread about my first trip to NYC : see here.
But since then, I did two more trips to this great city, in 2015 and in 2016. And actually I am planning to come back again in the next few months or in the next year.

During these trips I walked dozens of km by day, all over the five boros and even in New Jersey (Newark).
I took numerous pics, so instead of making a thread by trip, I've thought it would be more practical to post them little by little from time to time, just in one thread.

So, before the pics, let's start by a video. I made this one from clips I shot during my two last trips to NYC. Let's say that's the trailer for this thread !

Video Link

Now, for the pics, let's start by a little walk from Midtown to Williamsburg bridge, then walking through Brooklyn and Queens (passing on the Greenpoint Avenue bridge) up to the Queensboro bridge (OK, I love bridges) :

Nice job, Nantais. You covered a lot of ground, including many non-touristy neighborhoods.

Great sets Nantais.

NY is a great walking city. That's really how you appreciate the magic. Its one of those places where you can have fun just walking around. Sometimes aimlessly, soaking in the energy and dynamic nature of the city streets.

A little walk in downtown Newark, largest city of New Jersey, famous for its airport, infamous for its 1967 race riots and its criminality which drove away a third of its population in the 1970's-1980's.

So, I was not surprised to find that the city seemed a lot less touristic than Manhattan. It felt rough, gritty and somewhat "ghetto". It felt a bit like how I imagined the NYC from the 1970's-1980's might have looked like.
To be honest, it was a little bit intimidating (well, or maybe I just felt like that because I was one of the few white guys in sight, and probably the sole tourist taking pics, unlike in Manhattan).

115- So to go to Newark, you have to take the PATH, linking Manhattan to New Jersey. Here are some pics of the World Trade Center station :
