^The parking garage redevelopment is back on hold. The PDC is debating either renovating the garage, or reissuing an RFP in the future. HOWEVER, this tower is going on the block between Park and 9th between Morrison and Yamhill, one block up from the garage...

construction should begin by year end.

Very cool interactive photo of downtown Portland highlighting recently finished, under construction and under development projects.

From Oregonlive.com (The Oregonian newspaper site)

After viewing the Panaroma Intereative Photo, it is becoming more appearent that PDX is developing three distinct skyline features ( SOWA, Downtown, Lloydd ).

Stuff from the Oregonian

Anyone else notice that the interactive site lists Park Ave West at 460'? This is higher than previous reports around 410' Emporis lists it at 432'. Also the interactive site did not list the Portland storage tower(s). What's up with that.
One last thing, I can not get the Portland skyscraper page here to show proprosed buildings anymore. Anyone else notice this?

460', why that's only 140' short of something really cool.....

Originally the proposal was for 35 stories and 460' but they changed it to 31 stories and 410' feet. I guess the oregonian hasn't figured that out yet

Hi im new to this forum, Im wondering if the Park Ave West tower will lighting up the path to rasing the height limit in the downtown core,
Im hopping portland gets a new tallest soon, it will be alright in the loyd center discrict but i would rather prefer it in the downtown core,

410'? I looked at the TVA web site today and it shows it being 31 stores at 432'. Has there been changes since? I hope not.

^it was first proposal, or at least, info released to the media, was that PAW would be 410'. The design review commission was generally satisfied with the design but wanted the elevator box at the top to become an 'icon' maybe that included a height increase for whatever 'iconic' structure they are placing at the top?

I actually have no idea, I just can't wait to see it going up!

Any updates on Mirabella? That is one great looking tower concept- WAY better than the lame slab building we are getting in Seattle- as always PDX passes us up in the architecture dept.....

Yes, that is another reason to abandon the "local" section. I am sure many are interested in Portland development, yet this thread get no attention. I don't think I have checked this thread in a year.

Someone ought to take the time and redo the page 1 project rundown.
