Atlanta - Seeing Things

Video Link

A little Downtown, Decatur, McDonough, and the creepiest tourist attraction I've ever been to, one of these trips I'll get a chance to see all of the things I really want to...

Well I've been to Atlanta, twice, one for flight transfer, one was actually in there.

Atlanta is a fine city but not a pedestrian-friendly destination.

New York is walkable, Philly, too, Chicago and Boston are fine.

Nice pics, and yeah . . . I thought they stopped making Cabbage Patch Kids after their Beanie Babies-esque fad ran its course sometime around when I was in kindergarten (1986).

I am in love with the flatiron building you see here and in a few other of your pics. Atlanta folks, what's this called and what is its story? Too bad there isn't more of this and a little less craptastic PoMo.

This is the original flatiron building, built 5 years before the one in New York. A lot of the historical buildings are in the Fairlie-Poplar district of downtown.

Shawn, it's recently been gutted and re-purposed into FlatironCity, a tech incubator hub.

The Flatiron is on the edge of Fairlee-Poplar, the district that forms the core of our original Downtown.

Atlanta's Cabbage Patch Kids infestation is a little bit unsettling, but otherwise great shots

I need to go actually visit one day instead of just making connecting flights at the airport (thanks Delta!)
