I am surprised to see such an agrarian-inspired new facility in the area, it doesn't look like many of the desert contemporary structures I've seen around Vegas.

It makes it unique and not your usual stucco structure.
The Mercer in Spring Valley is a brand new housing community. It is around 1300 for a 1 bedroom unit.

This is not a fancy restaurant but a 24/7 cafe but the food here is top notch and the art deco interior is awesome. The food shown here are lunch portion so just imagine what it would be for a dinner portion. Hehehe. Love the pizza and salad with blue cheese dressing.

That's a nice building. I love seeing historic buildings in places that aren't known for them. I'm also fond of the performing arts academy in the old high school and the mob museum in what I think was the old post office.

It's an ok building nothing special. The scale of the building and its designs including the dome are off! I have seen many neo-classical buildings where I came from and this building in Clark County, is about as average as it can get.

I love the old high school a few blocks down. I will take some photos one of these days.

A condo building in Downtown Vegas and an older home. Sadly majority of the older homes with character in downtown have been taken over by Bail Bonds and Lawyer's office. Horrible zoning and the ones with residents have neglected their property.

Our downtown is similar to Hillcrest in San Diego, same architecture especially the homes but in Hillcrest, the residents take pride in their community and it has better zoning.

Nice pictures so far. When was that Supreme Court building built? It looks like it's less than 10 years old.

Main St. between Las Vegas boulevard and Gass Ave. is being reconfigured to a one way thoroughfare. Street lighting, wider sidewalks, landscaping and public art pieces are also part of the revitalization of the area. Around Summer of 2018, this area of downtown will look different. I like the metal public art pieces, I have seen at least two of these metal horse sculptures in the area.

Just last month, my mother spent a couple of weeks at Mountain View Hospital near my family's home in the NW section of the city of Las Vegas.
