Most impressive were the number of seemingly interesting and great bars. Redwood Bar & Grill, Grand Central Market, La Cita, Buzz, Golden Gopher, Bar Ama, The Varnish, The King Eddy, Cole's P.E. Buffet, and Clifton's Cafeteria. Then there's other places that I've seen on Google Maps that seem interesting, like the Library Bar, The Edison, and a couple others. I guess Downtown is known to locals, but the nightlife in Downtown LA seems to be a hidden gem for outsiders.
