The New Downtown Los Angeles 2018

The Adaptable Reuse Ordinance brought many vacant and abandoned old buildings, some abandoned for decades back to life.

The Giannini Bank Of Italy Building laid vacant for 17 years. This week it opens as a NoMad Hotel.
Only the 2nd NoMad in the U.S. The other location is in New York City.

Wilshire Grand Center

The Broad Museum Of Contemporary Art

The Music Center and Walt Disney Concert Hall

Great photos. Interesting that the Shinola store is still open. The one in Portland closed almost 2 years ago.

They're in every major city now, not sure why Portland couldn't keep one.

Oh man high-rise apartment buildings, members of the Anti-Highrise Apratment Buildings in North America Association are gonna be really angry when seeing HRABs massively invading DTLA.

Buffet, and Clifton's Cafeteria. Then there's other places that I've seen on Google Maps that seem interesting, like the Library Bar, The Edison, and a couple others. I guess Downtown is known to locals, but the nightlife in Downtown LA seems to be a hidden gem for outsiders.

As a big DTLA fan, this thread is an instant hit for me. One missing building from your photos though is the recently unveiled renovation for the Broadway Trade Center. The BTC might be my favorite building in all of DTLA now... it truly looks stunning.

Watching the Broadway corridor transform over the past number of years has been one of my favorite stories to follow. It's such a grand, lavish street, and I have a special place in my heart for movie palaces, so I'm glad that Broadway (and the rest of DTLA!) is coming back so strongly.

My brother and his band just performed there on Wednesday night. It is a great spot. It's located at 7th St and Grand Avenue.
