I took a week long trip out to Philly in January to visit a friend and am just now getting around to posting them. The reason being that they are not particularly groundbreaking or special, and with the flood of awesome Philly threads on here I did not want to post my fodder. The rush has slowed down now, though, and I feel its time to see some more of this great city. Enjoy!
Philadelphia, PA (However, it needs no introduction)
Classic angle of Center City taken from the Art Museum. I know it's trite, but it's popular for a reason
A pretty bad night shot, but the angle is pretty unique I think. Taken from the seventh floor of the Iroquois apartment on City Ave, in case any locals are wondering.
A little more zoom from the above angle
Morning shot from the same location
Zoom'in in on Center City
Another art museum shot
It's Comcastic!
Just strolling downtown
They don't build 'em like this in New Mexico
City Hall
This shot is a little blurry (no tripod) but I like the mood
Camden (well, mostly Philly from Camden)
My main reason for crossing the Delaware was to take shots like this...
... and this, but ...
... this little guy at the NJ State Aquarium was also worth the toll on the Ben Franklin Bridge
As we left the aquarium, I was able to snap some twilight shots, sans tripod
The obligatory pano
Baltimore (plus a few of Annapolis)
While in Philly I begged (bribed) my friend to take me down to B-more so I could relive all of my favorite scenes from "The Wire". Well, we never made it to West Baltimore, but seeing the inner harbor was quite a treat. Here are a few shots:
We have arrived
Not the greatest angle, but it was the best I could do
I guess this is a Baltimore landmark but I just recognize it from "The Wire"
Bonus Annapolis
What a beautiful city with some awesome brick structures (we don't use brick in NM so it's an eye-opener)
Thanks for viewing!
