Hopefully this will kick start many good things to come...

Give it a rest already. The current government cannott take credit for this boom, although as noted above, they will certainly try, and the last Conservative government was an unmitigated disaster economically and in most other ways. Thats why we don't have a conservative party now

Its great news for Sask and although most of it is at Alberta's expense I don't think most will mind as it gives the province time to finally catch its breath.

If this pace continues it won't be long before we pass MB.

Manitoba grew by more than 11,000 people in the past year — the best growth in a quarter of a century, according to new figures from Statistics Canada.

Saskatchewan's population was estimated at 1,003,300, up by 6,400, or 0.65 per cent, from July 1. These gains were record highs as interprovincial migration accounted for two-thirds of the increase.

Manitoba's population increased by 0.31 per cent, slightly below the national rate, Statistics Canada reported. It is, however, the province's strongest growth since the third quarter of 1983.

At the pace of growth Sask. is experiencing, Sask. might have a shot of passing MB by 2129!

Bring it on! Take your best shots! Frankly I'm dissapointed with your lame shots and put downs. I've read better insults from 4th graders.

I have to admit that Manitoba hasn't passed the 1,000,000 mark nearly as many times as Saskatchewan has.

Congratulations.

Actually, these stats end on Oct 31/07. These were brought on by your socialist union loving government. Imagine that?

Maybe we could just angle the pipe a little more steeply west.

I'll take the hotter economy, faster growth, and the Grey Cup over your extra 180,000 people.

Thanks.
