The Homewood Suites hotel isn't all that shabby. yeah it's got a plain box design, but the two colored glass looks pretty slick. It provides great contrast with its beige/brown neighbor, 1111 S Wabash, as well.

Thanks for the pics, Harry!

NICE. Just so we can compare. This image is from May 2014:

Just way different. I don't know how anybody could argue against the pedestrian experience in some of these areas. So much better.

Barf! I think it is the ugliest of this cycle so far... it really does not look good in person IMHO. It adds some nice density though, so whatever...

It's a great, great day. New construction building permit was issued for the replacement to that bad Father Son Plaza on North Ave. 11 stories with 261 units

Cheesus Crust almighty, shine that light down on me!

It’s one thing to lose the worst strip mall this side of The Mississippi, but to replace it with such density? Glory to our Lord and may Pizza God Bless America!

The South Loop continues to amaze me. Imagine when the Jewel and Gas Station on Roosevelt bite the dust! Those two sites could easily support supertalls...

Wasn't quite sure where to put these photos so I'll throw them here because it seems like a general thread. If i'm in the wrong place just delete them.

Lincoln Commons(I believe) are the aqua green between the new GGP building and Merch Mart. Can't believe these are visible from 333 W Wacker!

Gr333n. This thing is going to be huge...

This is the correct place - buildings 11 stories or taller, under 11 stories goes in Chicago General Development (not Discussion)

Great vantage point.
