I'd be surprised if there's much activity today. I live about a mile from the WTC site, and it was scary just being outside with the wind. Debris was flying around and road signs look like they're about to go flying off the posts.

I'm right now watching the Statue Of Liberty cam live and the wind is CRAZY there right now. The camera is shaking all over the place and you can hear the harsh winds... And this is only about 305 feet high.. I can't even begin to imagine how harsh the winds are at 1,200+ ft.

Yea its wicked windy where i live too and i live in MA, i feel like the northeast has a higher average wind speed than most other places because its always windy here.

And those were some great pics, don't usually see it from this angle, and i think its my favorite now cause it really shows of 1wtc's dominance, but it probably wont be as good for 1wtc once 2 and 3 wtc are built.

My reaction to that last series of shots went something like this:

"Oh I think that's from Brooklyn...that's a view we haven't seen before."

"Oh further away, yeah that's definitely from Brooklyn. Nice, you can see Beekman.."

"OMG Midtown! Sick panorama!"

"HOLY FUCK SKYLINE I <3 NY"

..or something like that haha.

Seems like two more jumps before we reach the topping out point. My mid April this should reach that point. Glass should reach that point my late July, or early August.

I thought the glass skin clad, wasn't supposed to be all the way to the top until the end of the year. If it is this upcoming summer, I'd like to be wrong about that.

Morristown is in those distant hills, where I live. That's where I take those distant shots

At max it would take October, but that as max as it will/should take. But August is the schedule, minus any delays ofcourse.

Wow - these shots keep getting better and better! I love to see how the tower interacts with the entire skyline and surrounding areas.

I did a photoshop collage to compare the current to future skyline, including the WTC complex and other recent proposals:
