Michael Green Architecture have requested Early Assistance for a project at 1053-1201 NW Naito Parkway:

Quote:
New 7-18 story Apartment Building - Timber (CLT) Construction - 2 levels for parking. 3 Development plans, some affordable housing proposed.
I'm quite excited about this - Michael Green Architecture are doing some really cool mass timber buildings.

Interesting. So this is just for that plot of land that the city sold, i.e. there will still be a vacant parcel immediately to the north?

I think so, unless the Wolff Company has separately negotiated to buy the One Waterfront Place parcel from Jim Winkler.

Oh right. For some reason I thought PDC still owned that parcel as well. I wonder what Winkler has been waiting for in this market.

Looks much better than the first go around. Nothing ground breaking, but it will look good IMO. The grey brick and wood look good together.

It is good to finally see some parking lots going away. Hopefully the trend continues downtown, I wouldn't mind seeing a number of the parking lots in the West End disappear.

The "Coming Soon" poster in the next-door building cracks me up ... Did they really think this building would go up faster than DWR could finish their move next door? :-P
