Is there any hope of relocating that arch structure to a different spot? I wonder what the decision process was that placed it smack in the middle of things. Whatever, it was wrong.

Thumbs up

Over 3,000 people will be at the sold out new arena in Truro for the pre-season game between the Halifax Mooseheads vs. Moncton Wildcats.

Nice arena. If it was just a touch larger, Truro might have a Q League team too......

Could be interesting in the stands if there are some Moncton fans there tonight.

I noticed on google maps that the Metro Centre is now shown in detail by sections.

That's pretty cool! We've still got a ways to go till stores have their sections labelled and described on maps.. I noticed that was a thing in quite a few places while I was down in the states.

Holy crap! CHL Player of the Year in 2012-13 scoring 41 goals and 64 assists in 49 games. And 12 goals and 23 assists in 17 playoff games.

Also here are the new jerseys celebrating 20 years:

Yeah I thought this was something only the Olympics could do.

Mooseheads game is on TV nation wide on Sportsnet One tonight 8pm Atlantic time. (from Gatineau)

The Q104 guys were talking about the show the other morning. Apparently its being done by a Nova Scotia company , which is cool. Everybody loves it and would like to see more of it, but according to them, its ungodly expensive to do.

Too bad that its expensive. Imagine watching an away game on a giant rink size screen with 5000 other people.

Yeah its very impressive.

Id imagine the cost is in the setup and editing/programming of the effects. It'd be a lot of labour cost for a small market like Halifax.

So I wonder then if straight video feed into the system would be that expensive?

Dunno. I think there is a LOT more going on production wise than just a straight video feed.

Some more info can be found here. Apparently it was a collaboration between Egg Studios and Sound Systems +

The system that was used is called Pandoras. It has multiple inputs/outputs (basically as many as you want to buy). they had 6 large projectors around the rim of the arena. It is a very time intensive project both from EGG studios and Sound Systems Plus. They did do an awesome job.. They also did the Bell Let's talk projections on City Hall at the end of january...

Sounds like fans attending this weekends games will once again be treated to an on ice light show. It might be the same as before but still worth the watch.

Great comeback by the Mooseheads tonight. They were down 5-1 in the 2nd period but came back to tie it in the third and win it in overtime - http://theqmjhl.ca/schedule/show/game/67175. The final score was 6-5 for the Mooseheads.

If the Mooseheads had of lost tonight they would have been down 3 games to none, instead they are down 2 games to 1 game.
