There's a dedicated thread for the San Pedro Creek redevelopment.

There's a lot more info and renderings in their than the main site presents.

The San Pedro Creek redevelopment will basically be a second Riverwalk for downtown, except this will be designed with locals in mind, not tourists. Similar to the Museum Reach portion of the Riverwalk.

Yes! Except for the garage portion. But the tower is completely poured and rising.

The construction site still looks so weird to me because the crane looks like it's in the middle of where the building/garage should be going.

Agreed. And th work is SLOW! I would be shocked if they get through 5 floors by year end, much less be on time for topping out this time next year.

You must have missed the building of the Grand Hyatt. They spent months on end on digging into the bedrock and constructing the parking garage.

The Frost Tower will not seem to be getting anywhere until the latter stages of construction, BY DESIGN!!!!! (Banging my head on desk).

Yes, because they have beams that slant at angles, it has to be built like this. At least from what I understood.

The Grant Hyatt is about 80 ft below level.

My guess, and it is just a guess, is that we will see some notable height by the Holidays.

Yes, but Frost SA will be the coolest building in either city built in the last 8 decades.

Let's not go overboard. Frost Austin is the architectural equal to Frost SA. Beyond that, I'd agree that both Frost towers are the best highrise designs to be built in their respective cities in decades. That isn't to say that there aren't non highrise structures that are beautifully designed as well that have gone up over that time, nor that there aren't other stunning highrise designs as well, or even that there won't be future developments that rival or beat the designs of the buildings that Frost will occupy.

Opinions are always subjective. I stand by mine, and I respect yours. It seems agreed that we both like this design a lot. And the powers that be at Frost obviously have good taste in modern architecture.

Are you talking about the height or the Fonzie factor?

So back to the building...

Looking at the web cam, I don't think the foundation for the tower portion is completely poured yet. I think it's going to but right up against the crane, which is at a 45º angle. They have rebar for two columns that look to be in the right position for the western side of the tower.

Anybody have access to structural plans?

Can you rewrite what you're trying to say? I honestly don't know what you are saying. I like reading everyone's opinions and observations, so it's important I do understand.

Rebar is in a position as to be for the parking garage. Given the shape of the tower, I doubt we'll have any problems identifying it once it is poured.

At least that is how I see it looking at this rendering:https://therivardreport.com/frost-ba...y-san-antonio/

(Sorry for the link, but I'm not adept at posting pics here.)
