Such a cool building I wish it was 100' taller so it doesn't get buried...

^^At 800 ft in a city where 600 ft is a common height, it'll be a long time before it gets buried. For now there will only be a handful of taller buildings.

It does share the same fate that Wilshire Grand faces. It's only 700 ft to the roof, so from a distance, it appears shorter than 555 California, but if you include the spire, technically it is taller.

It was actually originally designed to be 900' to the roof, and I'm guessing with the parapet and spire, it would've easily surpassed 1000'.

Now that would've been something to behold. Oh well it's still at a decent height I guess.

That is one fine looking building. You gotta love that first look at the building once its' finally done. Definitely one of the best under construction in the country right now.

The diagonally opposite glass becomes magical as it reflects the last of a sunset.

Although it was getting dark, you can still see the tower crane coming down, especially when compared with my recent shot above from the same angle.

Looking good SF! This may have already been discussed, and if so I apologize... does the cross bracing pattern on the exterior of the building contribute to rigidity against earthquakes? Or, is it purely for design? Thanks!

Part of the support for earthquakes. Great article in this magazine link.
