^^^ How are they going to get it to glow green like that?

Is it actually going to do that or is it just a product of overzealous rendering?

By the way, this design rocks, I'm not sure about the tufts of greenery bursting from the sides, but I think the crown looks amazing. It is really new and different, yet is doesn't look hokey or just like shit, well done Paris! Much better top than Thom Mayne's giant amoeba they are planning to build/grow (careful, it might divide, then you'll have two of them...).

That top reminds me of the old top of the SOM Russia Tower.

I like it though, another building with turbines!

Now that's an appropriate birdcage windfarm design (as opposed to the 2004 Freedom Tower one).

Not to get off-topic, but the idea introduced on the FT was great, and should be used in more buildings (even if on smaller scale, like here). It's just that it was extremely inappropriate on the WTC site.

I think they tweaked the design a little.

Now looks like this.

I thought the French were all about proportion. Those proportions look a bit... off.

I really don't like this design. It's just not right. It's simple and nice until the top, because the top itself is really ugly... why don't they put the crown on it of the Liberty Statue in NYC...

Constructions already begun and I think this Tower will really look good in Paris. I really liek La Defence but it's too far out of the city for me.

The reason this tower looks so big in the photos is because of the towers around it.

The culverts are gone.

Too bad, that was the best part about the building.

Far to the city....
La Defense is in the dense core of Paris urban area.

Yes it is far to the historic core but not the city.

See this picture I would never say that it is out of the city, Paris is just a very big city.

But it's still the outskirts of the city.
I think that it'll belong in the core when all the suburban highways that circle the area will be gone.

While I am really digging the facade in the new renderings, this building currently gets my vote for worst crown ever.

The top corners of the building are ok but the cone in the middle make this building ugly.
