Perhaps COACH?

Doesn’t the Outlet Mall have a Calvin Klein?

^ You learn something every day. I've only been to the outlet mall once, I dashed in to spend some Banana Republic gift cards and took a run through Saks Off 5th. Clearly I need to explore it some more.

Calvin Klein is next to Saks Off 5th.

Calvin Klein is probably the best of the non-major (Nike/UA/Saks) stores in OC. Really good deals and good stock. Doesn’t just feel like a jail cell with some racks.

If what was said about them being “new” is true, it’s not adidas as we already have one. Although I’ve long assumed when they’re lease is up they’ll move to the mall - That per of the Kenaston Power centre is dying. The selection there is awful though.

RW&Co has had signs up in the mall for a while.

I wouldn't mind if that Kenaston "smart centre" completely goes the way of the dodo and gets redeveloped into more condos, etc. The whole city seems retail-saturated and needs some re-focusing (ex: Taylor by the Walmart, Reenders' Kildonan Mile, etc...).

Well you may get your wish, seems like RioCan is busy selling up malls and talking about adding apartments to others. Wonder if Garden City is on the shopping chop?

Incidentally i've discovered that the Weston family now owns or is trying to own a big REIT themselves. Wonder if they will or would buy Garden City.

A little insider information on the outlet mall:

Rockport and RW & CO are soon to open which we all know. Apparently, there are signed proposals for the following stores:

*Kate Spade
*Polo Ralph Lauren
*Torrid
*Journeys
*Lacoste
*Bath and Body Works

Apparently, Haggar, Blackwell and Eclipse are in negotiations. Of the above, Rockport, RW & Co, Kate Spade and Polo are done deals.

Will be interesting to see how many of these come to fruition.

^ I did not know that Park City Commons was even a thing.

http://www.cushmanwakefieldwinnipeg....ty-Commons.pdf (6 MB PDF)

It doesn't look that great, but at least they're schlepping some apartments on top of the commercial buildings. That'll get a little density going on that site.

If Westfair franchised No-Frills is coming to Park City Commons, then what is happening to Regent Park Shopping Centre where Canada Safeway then Extra Foods were located?

they have inhouse brands like Allen + Roth and products not available elsewhere, so you can find more unique items that way, like lighting fixtures, wall papers, furniture, rugs etc. They also carry different paint brands. I prefer Lowes over Home depot myself, just has a nicer feel, but outside of the inhouse brands its pretty much the same.

Home depot has its own house brands like Glacier Bay.

That mall is owned by Rancho Reality and they have been marketing the space for some time.

Probably end up being demo’d. It’s in bad shape, needs a new roof. I doubt anyone would see the value in doing those repairs.

To me though that'd be like comparing Compliments to Safeway Select (pre-merger), and saying one had the advantage there. It's a different package on the same thing for the most part. PC stands out, but I don't think HD or Loews has any "exclusive" in-house brands that are that big of a deal over the other.

No but its like a draw like how home depot had or maybe still has Martha Stewart branded stuff. You can only get it at home depot and Lowes has stuff you can only get there, same crap different name. Just depends what you're a fan of and for many shoppers the name brands are why they shop somewhere over another place.

I live not too far from Lowes so I popped in there to buy a few things I needed... to my eyes it looks practically identical to Home Depot save for the colours and the specific store layout. It's like comparing Safeway and Sobeys.

Did the fit4less in grant park close? Looking at their locations on the website and only the north gate one is listed for Manitoba.
