Noticed that Freshii is open on Lower Queen Street.

Burrito Jax is also opening a second location in town within the next year http://canadianrestaurantnews.com/at...heads-into-nl-

You're right and it will remain as a FutureShop for the next ~18months. Then the signage will be changed.

I took this picture yesterday of the McInnis Cooper building at the corner of Kent and University Ave. Looks like it is coming along.

Here are two photos of the old Canandian Tire location on Buchanan Drive.
They didn't take anything off this building and may have added to it at the end where the garden centre once stood. They added extra steel and air conditioner units on the top of the building.
This building will easily hold several good sized stores. One already confirmed is Home Sense.

Update on the Condo/business building a the corner of Prince and Grafton. I thought this would be a slow development considering the time it took to get it underway. Gradually it is coming together.

Awesome pics man! Being in Moncton now, I haven't been to Charlottetown since September. Next time I'm there things will sure look different.

There's more going on in Charlottetown right now than in Moncton.

plazacorp just recieved IRAC Approval to purchase another 3.7 acres from St. Dunstans across the new street they put in behind the the new sobeys on Malpeque road.

In the old Canadian tire they took probably at least 20ft off the front of the building to make for a better parking lot which was always a problem at Canadian Tire.

A permit was given for Plazacorp to build a new Starbucks with drive thru in the staples parking lot.

Coras Closes Doors
May 2nd
The Guardian

Cora’s Restaurant on Queen Street has closed its doors but a spokesman for the company in Montreal says the restaurant may re-open in another part of the city in the not too distant future.

Staff at the Charlottetown restaurant received their final paychecks last week.

Benoit Morel, legal affairs officer for the Cora Franchise Group, said the closure came after a couple of months in which weather made travel downtown difficult and parking even more difficult.

Starting in late January there were several days when successive large snowfalls made it difficult for customers to reach the restaurant. The snow likewise made it difficult for those working at the restaurant to get into work.

Still the restaurant chain has not given up on Charlottetown just yet.

“It was with sadness that we saw our P.E.I. franchisee close its door last week due to the severe winter,” Morel said. “We certainly hope to be represented again on the Island soon.”

New Harley Street Apartments. This used to be where the old trailer park on the corner of Harley and Mt Edward Rd was.

Princess Auto

"A New Brunswick developer was in Charlottetown Wednesday for a public meeting on a proposal to build P.E.I.'s first Princess Auto. Garnett Mabie of Plaza Retail in Fredericton outlined plans for the 23,000 square-foot hardware store at the Charlottetown City Hall meeting. It would be located off Malpeque Road just below the bypass highway."

Does anyone know what the stand alone building that Willaims Murphy is digging out beside old Canadian tire is going to be?

Also any idea what else is going in next to home sense?
