^ Wow. They're providing multiple platforms for viewing a concrete pour? The skyscraper geek community's influence must be growing...

Look at all those trucks. Take some planning to make it all come together like that.

On another note, what a difference 6 months can make. The site was just a parking lot and the discovery green had yet to open, now the whole area is buzzing. Very Kewl indeed...

I was impressed that it all began so early and ended before sunset. One Park Place (a larger site, yes) took about 15 hours to complete.

Today, they started putting the crane together...

Haha, I actually got there at the same time as the Shipley's but I just took a chocolate milk instead. More thirsty than anything.

What, i thought it would be much taller at first start. Oh well it will grow. Was that taken before or after the stroms came through. Because right before the stroms came through it felt so very good outside. Wish it was like that all year...

Yep, I took it maybe about 30 minutes before the winds started kicking up and the first storms came through. Tons of kids playing around the fountains and families were having picnics there... hope they all weren't rained out!

For the crane, I think it is a little taller than the picture shows since the base is about 15 or 20 feet below ground on the side of the building's footprint.

Went by yesterday, and it was definitely higher. Maybe about to the halfway point of 5HC. I think it was so low the day before because that was the first day it was set up and they were still testing everything.
