Great pictures, well done, although I don't quite get what appears to be a hotel room with stuff peeling off the walls and the bare light bulb. Is that a trendy thing to do there?

It seemed to me like it was- everywhere had distressed walls. By far, the most popular look was that of stripped wallpaper on plaster.

New Orleans captured my heart and refuses to give it back...

Alas, I'm still young and can move basically anywhere in the country with the company I work for, maybe someday that place will be New Orleans. It's only been 4 months since I was there and I miss it already.

your photos reveal a sense of deep routed history, something that I think is missing in the new glass and steel towns of the south and west.

Great distressed surfaces... and I can feel the humidity.
