I rode the Queen streetcar from Leslieville to Parkdale and the streets were very busy--most restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, indie fashion retailers, SDM and craft beer joints were open. Te Aro coffee was rammed and dozens of other coffee shops nearby busy, including Box Car Social.
I remember an Easter Sunday 20 years ago when I went to Leslieville and literally nothing was open--iirc, I may have had a mediocre meal at the tulip.
Even square little Roncevalles was busy and open to customers, Polish establishments excepted.
