Since you don't even have the cojones to talk to me in a private message, I have to say it here; Respect is earned through character, although i'm sure you know nothing about that. You never answered my question though. Why should I be nice to you?

Rico, i'm still calm.

Another shining example of the tactlessness of McCavity.

So "tactfulness" is ignoring a mistake? I don't think so. In the interest of telling the truth it seems to me that the person should be corrected. The thing I didn't like was after I proved him wrong he just changed the subject and kept arguing with me and steadfastly refused to admit his mistake. Just like you Molson. When I was young I didn't take responsibility for many of the things I said either so I will have to assume the problem with you two is just a glaring lack of maturity.

Picture by Gilbert, the "tower" is topped out and the cladding is almost complete. Although the height is clearly insufficient the material use is great, especially compared to some of its neighbouring recent construction.

"Formerly le Westin Mont-Royal"

This link to confirm that there used to be a Westin hotel in Montréal :

Quote:
This hotel is in a fine central location near museums and shops in the Golden Square Mile district. Formerly Le Westin Mont-Royal, the property still looks fresh from renovations during its changeover.

I find the height to be terribly botched. It looks like a cube not a tower, although i find the materials used to be top class....

Quite nice. Certainly gives the gazette building a much needed facelift. In that regard it reminds me of the Palliser south project in Calgary. It's a new office building being constructed beside an old parkade. It will incorporate the parkade into its structure and reclad it with some more interesting materials.

I do prefer your Westin to our Palliser though. The materials used on on yours are a lot better.

Although I see little parallel between the Westin and your palliser project I must give the palliser the edge, its much nicer.

That is le palais des congres, or the Montreal convention hall. It is subject to much debate here.

I just finish watching a movie entitled The Red Violin (1998) on which Samuel Jackson is playing the role of a violin restoration expert called to make an expertise on a violin in Montréal. The hotel he's staying at is the Westin (you cans see the name in the back of the lobby's receptionist and anyone that have been to this hotel would easily recognise the actual lobby of the Omni Mont-Royal.
