so i walked by this bad boy tonight on graham and it looks like it's starting to actually tower over some of the surrounding buildings as it reaches it's 5th floor as the first two floors have really high ceilings. this is gonna be fun to watch over the next few months can't wait!!

Oh, weak; when I saw this thread, I thought our neighbors to the north were building a giant tower in which to grow hydroponic chronic.

Nice Pictures!

A couple of weeks ago, I found an article in the Winnipeg Free Pree about how if they built a two level underground parkade that it would risked being flooded from the groundwater level being so high. Manitoba Hydro didn't want to take the risk.

theres a layer of salt water between the bed rock and the clay... witch is not all that far down in the downtown... and you are right.

I got this idea from what some people have of Burj Dubai.

Red is what floor they built it up to so far.

It's a quick job, but does it. I beleive its at the fifth floor, with construction
starting on the sixth.

It's great to see this tower come to live; I just wish it was about 20 stories higher

While not an outstanding project on worldwide scale, it definitely receives some of the best and most interesting photo coverage here on SSP. Congratulations guys for showcasing your city's local development in such a way, making it known to this worldwide community. And congrats to winnipeg on a rising addition to its skyline.

By the way, are there any renders in context of the city's skyline?
