General Urban Fantasy Thread

The Globe & Mail recently put out an article that included a list of projects which could help make Toronto a world class city. The list included projects such as a new convention centre or university. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe...ticle23681575/

So I was wondering, what projects or ideas would you like to see built or developed in Vancouver to help us become a more "world class city"?

I think a world class city would normally have at least, at least, one major cultural institution.
If Vancouver had a top-notch art gallery, a world-renowned opera, and a fine music conservatory, we'd definitely be headed in the right direction.

Another thing: expand the economy. We have the research equipment and personnel. So how about trying for more pharmaceutical
development?

Sorry, not really Vancouver related and off-topic to this thread, but an interesting example what could also happen in here.
