They are really moving along on the site! Driving by this afternoon, they are continuing to drill along the northern side of the site (Studemont side) and the south side has been fully excavated with the subterranean walls now up. It looks like the first piers and beams should be popping up very soon.

It would be quite the phenomena to see cranes going up on this site given the cranes near Jackson Hill. Too bad we won't see activity at Regent's Square in the next few weeks.

I had a question about the photo below, particularly the center

Is this a continuation of the foundation work or a basement of some sort? Perhaps drainage? I was curious since it looks disconnected from the north side of the site where it looked like they were working first.

They're also starting to pour concrete in the supports on the south side of the site and are adding more each day it seems.

My guess is it's for the drainiage unit, especially since it's a) located right next to a depressed portion of Memorial Drive and b) it's near the bayou.

Well, it looks like the drainage component is in place now. Also, on the north side of the site it looks like some of the rebar cages which will soon be the first structural columns are now up, well above the brick wall.

Looks like the base for the tower crane was delivered earlier today, and the wall for the first floor is going up pretty quickly.

The location is excellent. Can't wait to see it after they've completed the 12th or 13th floor. Then you should be able to get a better feel for its impact on the landscape.

Forgot about this thread... Tower is starting to take it's place in the larger skyline though and that's always good to see.
