that one stone lintel above that one window I've always found odd though.. were there structural reasons for why it isn't angled on the right side?

^I don't recall the history of that building, but it's pretty clear that it underwent a renovation at some point in the distant past. Looks like they snipped that lintel and also reduced the size of the original aperture underneath - likely when they added the 2nd and 3rd floors.
