Thumbs up BALTIMORE | TWO new Tallests!!!

The RWN Group has proposed these two awesome projects. Though it looks like the same twin tower renderings, they are two different addresses. So, actually, it is a twin project consisting of four towers together.
The towers are proposed as 65+ floors and 76 floors, counting crowning top.

I like the designs a lot. The taller portion of these towers look to rise well over 800 ft. in the air.

What do you all think about these projects?

Talk about changing a city's skyline!

Meh. I think it will look great assuming the podium will be blocked by other other buildings in view. What I really hate today are skyscrapers with awkward podiums, and no real flow from podium to tower. Lamentably, it happens all too often. In this case, I can imagine a horrificly ugly concrete parking garage 'covered' with some loose Libeskind-esque strands of steel every once and a while. The base looks no good at all.

The towers are nice though and the windfarm is a good use of the space.

Not bad. I really like it. I hope it gets built too. I really like all the little wind turbines between the two towers.

The towers themselves look fine. Not fantastic but certainly eye catching. I too hate the podium/base. They just don't seem to include the human urbanism element, almost fortress like.

I don't really like them. They just look....boring to me. Maybe I'll change my mind once I see how they look incorporated into the skyline.

Wow, not bad at all. I have to agree with what some have said about the base though. It's not great.

I agree. The tops look like they could be interesting, but the base is a mess. Baltimore can and should do better than that.

Seems to be a general theme that the towers are good, but the base is awful. What is the deal with buildings today?! So many seem to have those big_box_bases. I know we are a car addicted nation and therefore must build first and foremost for parking considerations, and then seem to stick on a building while we're at it. But really, there should be more consideration to blending, hiding, or better yet, just eliminating the stupid box bases. It's 2007, can't we figure out some other way to address the all important parking factor!

the base is kinda sad. wish it was one flowing tower. but, for baltimore, it ain't that bad. if built, the city will definately catch someones eye driving by on interstate 95.

I wouldn't hold your breath for anything that large to get built there anytime soon, regardless of the use, especially in that area of downtown.

What is the use anyway? I can see maybe office use working there in 5-10 years, maybe apartments. But it is not a good area for hotel or retail since it's not near the convention center or the waterfront.

....either way I really don't see this one happening

I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up but where is the ground floor retail!? Retail at base of this tower would nicely distract your attention from that horrible parking structure. I seriously hope that are not thinking of putting advertisement on it lol Baltimore is not a times square, and doesn't need to be turned into one..
