I found out yesterday that the Hilton Hotel portion of this project still has yet to attract an investor!!!

Man thats sounds very disappointing . One would think the city or the prov would have some type of regulation in place that a developer should have certain percent of funds or locked in investor before they even approve the project so something like this cant happen. Is there any jurisdiction that have any rules like that in place ?

I just find it odd that this building has so much trouble to get goin. You think in a booming city like ours that developers or investors would jump at the idea to build a brand new modern style condo/hotel? Maybe that brightstar is just a horriable company iduuno, i always thought westgate developements was alright and pcl construction? Why cant it have been a respected company to do this.

I find it interesting that the CP thread is way more active than the Centre Square Place thread, of which the building is actually under construction.

Far more drama (self inflicted) with the CP development. CSP developers are a lot more quiet - just build it and they will come - an actual physical building is their marketing gimic.

Noticed on Saskjobs.ca that PCL is hiring some key positions (Project Manager, Superintendent, Construction Coordinator, Field Engineer) for a Regina location... maybe they're hiring in preparation for the CP build?
Or maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part!

'Just drove by the CP site. The Sutton Realty sign - suggests - that the property is for sale. I hope that I'm wrong. I heard that PCL is the would-be contractor for the CP project as well.

Actually I hope you are right. Then someone could come in and actually develop the land.

The condos on mls are listed by sutton... I'm pretty sure they are just advertising their realty firm now that they are involved with the sales of the suites. I don't think it has anything to do with the actual property.

Noticed a couple of hardhats wandering around the site this morning.

Now there is a survey crew working inside the fence.
