Whistler last Saturday. Conditions were perfect with new snow having fell overnight and both Symphony and Harmony Bowls completely untouched.

We had to wait an hour for the Harmony Express to open due to crews working to mitigate avalance danger, but boy were the runs perfect. Hands down, the best runs of the year! People were so excited that they were screaming of joy when coming down the untouched pow runs. Never seen such enjoyment!

We were the first to the ski Harmony Ridge and it was perfect. Symphony Bowl still waiting to open in this panorama (see how untouched it is!).

There was a lot of people and runs detoriated quickly on afternoon.

Hundreds of people queuing for the Symphony Express. Took us half an hour to get onboard and many people chose to walk up!

Peak-to-Creek is the traditional end for the day.

This past weekend was Family Day long weekend here in BC and we drove to Kelowna for some skiing. On Saturday we went to ski at Silver Star Resort nearby Vernon which turned out to be a very nice resort with many great runs.

There was a lot of snow on top of the mountain and trees were snapping from the weight of the snow!

Beautiful vistas from the summit.

The next day we changed to Big White, which is another huge resort a bit east of Kelowna. Weather was more cloudy there, but the snow was fantastic.

Driving from Kelowna back to Vancouver this time of year can be a roller coaster of seasons.

Approaching the 1700 meter (5500ft) summit along Highway 97 Connector.

It's crazy how these mountain highway's have 120km/h (70mph) speed limits throughout winter!

Much less snow again when approaching Merritt.

And winter's back again along Coquihalla Highway.

Descending from the summit.

And it was spring nearby Chilliwack. What a ride!

Consider going in the fall. The crowds die off, and it's gorgeous with the fall colours.

Was thinking mid to late September. The waters are still warm, there are fewer bugs, the leaves should be near peaking up their and ya the park will be much less crowded I'm sure. I might just rent a Yurt this time.

Youtube video of a figure skater on a wilderness pond in Albert County NB (probably no more than 30 km from Moncton). Both the drone operator and the figure skater are from Sailsbury NB (an exurb of Moncton).

Took a day off on Friday to go skiing in Whistler (Blackcomb side). Fourth time up there this year and it was worth it. The amount of snow they have there is crazy and they have been able to groom many black runs that you rarely see groomed. Excellent dry snow above 1000 meters!

This is what it's all about: sun, powder snow and empty runs.

I know the people who live in that house with the red roof in the centre. I swear the sun never hits the ground in Pemberton. Awesome pic.

The peak time for leaves there is usually the first or second week of October. I camped there once during a very warm Fall at the beginning of October and the leaves were only just starting to change.

Definitely way fewer people visiting in the Fall and a great time for hiking, canoeing and kayaking.
