Some juicy, scrumptious details about the amenities and features inside.

From Verre Sales on teaser site

How soon will the MoMA sections of this building be open to the public?

I've noticed that the pictures taken in this thread have somewhat of an artistic angle to it. It's unlike the pictures that just show the building as it is, and have a particular emphasis on the overall composition of the picture. How appropriate.

Just having an iota of Verre in a picture bumps the coolness factor tenfold.

That's because photos from the source are always better than say a passing photo.

Man this will really stand out from those ugly 500 some odd feet tall mid century towers that surround it.

NYGuy -

First, I very much enjoy your comments and observations along with your photos, on this and the other building threads that I've been following now for a while.

Per Streeteasy, unit 17D has a terrace. If I'm translating what I'm seeing correctly, per the floor plan, the unit is located on the SE corner of the building along 53rd.

Your photo #8 taken January 29 shows the SE corner of the building, and I don't see a terrace - and I'm presuming that construction has gone above the 17th floor? In the photo below, I can't tell if the platform the two men are at the edge of would be that terrace, or if it is just part of the construction process. Then there is issue of this area sitting on what appears to be on the front of the building in a corner of the building. Per the Streeteasy plan, the terrace just appears to be cantilevered out from the side of the building. I thought perhaps that it was capping off a portion of the building that would no longer rise with the rest - but in all of the renderings that I've seen of late, none of them indicate a terrace of any sorts at all. It's a detail that doesn't fit...

Thanks very much -

There is a portion of the building that will rise above the site of the former Folk Museum, that will be a connection to MOMA. I haven't seen any work as of yet on that, but the terrace as far as I knew was to rise on top of that.
