I miss the old Tim Hortons. Where there was a counter that you could slide up to. Where the staff were friendly matronly-like ladies that knew what you wanted without having to make an order. Where the apple fritter was actually an apple fritter, made on the premises. Where the lineups weren't utterly insane.

New Mastercraft all purpose duct tape, perfect for covering signage of abandoned CT locations.. they'll never know a CT was there.. only at Canadian Tire!

I remember we used to get birthday cakes from Tim Hortons. In my middle school Tim Hortons used to give away free cookies, well should donate whatever to charity. Remember there would also be a coffee cake by the cashier machine and always looking and smelling so good. Oh the days.

Oh and I forgot during an auction Tim Hortons was selling away crap load of stuff since switching to frozen donuts. My dad bought one of those spinning around fridge (where the cakes would go). It was his beer fridge. Whenever I needed pop I would have to wait until the spinning around thingy came around for my pop lol.

RIM Roll

I went to Tim's this weekend and they've already ran out of the Rim rolling cups in the two locations nearest to me.

Looking at their official rules:

http://www.rolluptherimtowin.com/pdf...lesRegs_en.pdf

CONTEST CUPS

3. A total of 282,493 cases of contest cups have been produced for this contest. These will be available for distribution through May 3, 2008 or while supplies last, whichever occurs first.

I don't know how many cups are in a case, but it's got to be a lot... and they've started running out three weeks earlier than previewed. Freakin' coffee addicts!

Wal-Mart is notorious for that all over North America too. In many cases, they've taken entire malls down when they leave, so we end up with even bigger carcasses.

See the Chaleur Centre in Bathurst NB:

(taken by me)

Clientlogic, a call centre, was one of maybe 5 tenants remaining in the mall.

Same story here at UWO (Western). 3 weeks early. Doesn't this also confound the odds of losing (winning, but since you almost always lose...)

I did it to alter the tense to make my post fit in properly. It had nothing to do with your writing abilities.

In Fort Erie, the old Canadian Tire became Gypsy Theatre's building.

In Hamilton, we just don't close Canadian Tires. (see Main & Victoria)

Burlington just recently closed their Plains Rd & Waterdown location for a sprawly Hwy 5 & 6 location.

Somewhere around here, there's an abandoned Canadian Tire directly behind a new PartSource (CT-owned). I think it's in Kitchener or Woodstock or something.

I did today... after long minutes of badly organized service.

I would describe it as a snack for meat lovers. Honestly it's not bad, but NOT worth $5.64 !!

^ Those were the worst, the drippiest, most miserable lids ever.

Although I'm in no position to complain. The pandemic turned me from a several times a week Tims guy into someone who goes just a few times a year now.

I don't miss the plastic lids. Full props to TH for coming up with a decent sustainable lid. Put Starbucks and McRonny to shame.

It's amazing how the complaints about Tim Hortons today were the same as 15 years ago.

There are people with short memories who think everything changed at the end of 2014 when RBI took over and that Tim Hortons was amazing right up until that point.
