One of my favorite Atlanta buildings was just completed in 2006...Symphony Tower. It rises 657 feet/41 floors above Midtown at 1180 Peachtree St; won the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) award; and was chosen one of the best new skyscrapers of the year by Emporis. The fins light up at night and make it really stand out on the Midtown skyline.

The tallest building in this cluster:

Wow, i'm sorry but I am and complete disagreement with you here. I despise that building. I'm not sure how you can pick that with structures like The Morris Performing Arts Center, The Courthouse, the Civic Theatre building, and all the gorgeous churches in the city.

One example, St. Patrick's Cathedral (photo taken by me)

Its a tough decision for Glasgow, so I'll call it a tie between the Mitchell Library and Glasgow University Tower.

The backdrop of Kelvingrove Park tips it in GU Tower's favour.

st. louis has a lot, but the continental building (1930) of midtown has always been beautiful to me. it represented the hopes and dreams of an urban st. louis, a downtown density from river to city limits.

The Philly City Hall is either one of the ugliest buildings in the World, or one of the best looking. I have always felt it was one of the best looking. The Executive Office building in DC is another example of the 2nd Empire style.

Interesting that nobody yet had suggested this one as the most beautiful in Montréal ?

Montréal's City Hall

While my favorite building in Chicago is the Tribune Tower; and while the Rookery, Reliance, and Wrigley buildings are all top notch in the looks department, I'll have to give the slight edge to the Jeweler's Building, now known as 35 E. Wacker:

It's just simply beautiful. I can go on and on, but hopefully the picture is worth a thousand words!
