I do foresee some push back from residents as the area is quite dense compared to other area. Once WC Central Pack construction is completed, the skytrain station will become more packed. The single East station house stair can't handle more passenger traffic. Translink needs to finish the skytrain station upgrade first before the City approves more development projects in the area.

It was a workshop with ~50 resident this saturday morning spreaded over 4 tables (it was more show up than expected) held by the CoV and Via Architecture.
The workshop was consisting to list what land/use building people like and dislike, then what they forsee for the neighborood. For this people have some cards displaying photo representative of certain building form/land use, and/or use of a graphist to visually express their ideas.

The first table illustrates the idea:
This table had an excentric person over-concerned by process (eventually a codeword against change). That seems reflected in the poster, but the idea of increased density toward the station has somehwat been expressed too
In comparison other tables were more bold:
While people could have different opinions on the WC development (a table listed it as "thing the don't like" while another on put if in the "like" column) You will notice that the last 2 tables used a picture of Marine drive to reimagine the district, and usually foresee pretty dense neighborood, and are calling 6+ storeys building along Joyce, and Vanness:
In another workshop in the afternoon regarding transportation issue, it has been suggested by the city to
- make Vanness street one way between the lane west of Joyce and Mc Geere
- Close Vanness to motor traffic at Mc Gerre
This to allow to expand the bus loop on the south side.
No serious objections have been raised against those options.
