^ Court Street was built as the West terminal of the local service of Fulton Street Subway with provision to extend to Lower Manhattan. However, the destinations of most passengers along Fulton Street Subway were Manhattan. As a result, the local service of Fulton Street Subway extended to Manhattan through Cranberry Street Tunnel. This became a major bottleneck for the current (A) and (C) services.

Exclamation

Is it even possible (much less feasible) to extend the T to connect with the A/B/C/D at either 125th or 145th? After Lexington, stop at Lenox, then link to the lines along St. Nicholas.

Without the expensive cost of digging brand new tunnels, I think this is the only way to possibly get it to the Bronx.

I rode the line the other day. Best thing money can buy. It's really nice and efficient.
