There is also a medical clinic planned as well (presumably in association with the Pharmasave).

As of yesterday afternoon, the Mclaughlin Fire Station is officially out of service and the new one at on Caledonia Road is operational and very nice! I'll snap some pictures when I get a chance.

There is now construction fencing up along the north side of the Elmwood Drive Sobeys (building "B"). Presumably the construction of the new NBLC is imminent.

Didn't both Sobeys and NBLC say they weren't building there (or at least not now?) Or am I remember things wrong?

Well, there is both fencing and a construction trailer on site, so something is going on.

The original plan was for an NBLC, so I'm running with it......

I think this site was the only place that ever said anything about a liquor store, but I stand to be corrected on that. I don't think anything "official" ever said liquor store.
Now to be clear, I pray that you are right, and that I am remembering things wrong lol! I shop there often enough and would LOVE a new beer store there. All in favour say aye!

The proposed Irving Big Stop project which has been mentioned in the past (corner of Caledonia & Elmwood) has semed to run out of "gas". A very good source has told me that the agreement to purchase their house/property along that stretch of land had the plug pulled recently.

Your confidence in this is well placed! I stopped by the site today and spoke to the workers and indeed they are building a liquor store.
(I wasn't doubting you. I thought this was merely speculation by members of this board.)

Also confirmed today in the T&T

The store will be 11,000 sq ft and will have the same livery and signage as the new Mountain Road store to be built in the NW end.

This means that it won't have the same "blended" brickwork like the store next to the Vaughan Harvey Sobeys. I'm not sure I appreciate that........

Although it's February, I'm thinking they could bring in the sod and do landscaping anytime since there is no snow! hahaha
Sorry it has taken me so long to post these, mais voilà!

Plan for a new subdivision behind Lewisville Middle School.

As you can see from the site plan, this will be constructed in three phases.

Nice development, should fit in nicely with the area. Anyone know when the old factory (which use to occupy that corner) was torn down?

Secondly, this is a bit of an odd question, but who knows when is it time or needed to erect a noise wall along highways which pass very close to residential areas such as Hwy 15 between Harrisville Blvd and Paul/Lewisville intersection? I've seen that Fredericton erected one a few years ago along the Forest Hills residential area and it made me think. I can only assume this would be VERY costly and would be simply politically driven.

The old furniture factory was torn down roughly 5 years ago, give or take a year or so. Torn down or burnt......I believe it was torn down though.

Lots of equipment on the large site at the northwest corner of Elmwood Dr and Caledonia Rd. I'm not sure if this is for the infrastructure improvements on Elmwood, or for developing the site.

Some of the equipment is quite far from the road, although I'm not sure if that makes a difference.
